FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Where does my contribution go? How do you spend your membership revenue?

Your contribution goes towards helping me and my sibling eat. We are two disabled siblings estranged from their parents trying to survive a hostile environment. And I need money to eat because gluten free shit is expensive here and my heart condition limits my ability to be outside and the capitalists have cancelled remote working. It goes towards consultant appointments, health insurance, heart medication, rent, groceries, wi-fi and heating. It goes towards more art, more writing, more videos, more events, more songs and more stories.

Why should I support you? What makes you different?

I don't really care for the word "should", if you feel like supporting me, then feel free to share my blog, sign up as a member, reinterpret my work and comment on the things that interest you. I am not a super savvy marketing team trying to persuade, cajole or strong arm you in to getting onboard, if you like, do, if you don't, then cool just don't try sabotage my ting.

My life experiences and perspective make me unique, but just as unique as the next person.

But ask yourself when was the last time you engaged with the scripts, visual art, essays and music by an anti-binary Yorùbá artist that:

  • grew up in Newham, London, United Kingdom
  • was an active member of Deeper Life Bible Church cult (youth choir, book shop worker, street envangelist and summer school teacher)
  • was deconstructing Christianity at 17 and cycled through nihilism, existentialism, pacifism, hedonism and finally landed on a personal philosophy of pan-psychism and Yorùbá spirituality.
  • Protested against higher tuition fees back in 2010
  • studied Law at the University of Hertfordshire (hated Law, law students and Herts)
  • Been boycotting diamonds for over 10 years
  • bought bitcoin in 2014 (sold in '17 too much speculation)
  • is former couchsurfer
  • is opposed to formal education (I would like to see schools empty)
  • is desperate to contribute to the destruction of the nuclear family (and "civilisation" as we know it)
  • Started a monthly music club  - shoutout Anti-Stan Club
  • wrote a post-punk song about the climate - shout out Scared For The Climate
  • Practises COVID safety, safe sex and road safety ( I don't play about them, preventation is better than cure)
  • and is currently trying to survive Ireland as a full time artist???

Why aren't you on social media?

Honestly it really is so overwhelming for me. I am a neurodivergent person and the social rules, the algorithms, the AI, data scrapping and censorship all really really undermine my mental health. I feel inadequate, jealous, bitter and judgemental on social media so I don't really like being on there. Olólùfẹ́ Collective has social media and I think that is plenty.

What tools/websites do you use?

I use whatever is free and/or accessible:

  • Photopea (photo editing, graphic design)
  • Ghost.org and Fourthwall for blogging
  • Beat app for scriptwriting
  • Writer Journal App (android) for offline writing/backup and restore
  • Pixilart.com for pixel art
  • Bandlab/Garageband for music
  • Fairphone 6/Kodak PIXPRO AZ252/DJI Osmo Pocket 3/Kodak EKTAR H35 - photographs and videos
  • Secondhand stuff/donated things/random shit
  • Capcut for editing but hopefully opencut.app and davinci resolve soon
  • Presonus Audiobox USB96 with Condenser Mic Audio Technica AT2020 both secondhand from adverts.ie
  • Secondhand Macbook Pro 13in M1, 2020
  • My local library

I don't have money can I still support?

Yes for sure you already are by reading my FAQs, but also you you can check out the posts made available to the public here, sign up to Olólùfẹ́ Collective, share my blog with people you know, listen to my music, watch my films, practise COVID safety, safe sex and road safety and be vocal about your desire to see the end of the neo-plantation techno-feudal era.
