TW: Tr*mp mentioned

It's my turn to take out the bins this week. I took a trash bag and started clearing the living room of the takeaway we got last night, arranging things that need to be in my car and things that need to go to my bedroom. 

I picked up the under kitchen cabinet bulb we need to replace as they have the code for the specific bulb we need. It reminded me of my feelings about the importance of maintenance. 

Destruction is one thing, building is another but maintenance is everything. Maintenance alone takes so much. 

I have a lot of thoughts about maintenance but it's not coming to me with the clarity I desire. 

I will say I thought about maintenance and Tr*mp and how his corruption and evilness will inevitably lead to the undermining of the institutions and people that maintain America. And without necessary and continuous maintenance things crumble. 

That's why when I think about civilization as we know it, I know some people will be actively destroying it, but I believe many more people will stop maintaining the plantation. And that's when it will crumble. And when people withdraw energy and effort from maintaining capitalism, they will be seeking an alternative. And I hope I alongside Olólùfè Collective can contribute to practically demonstrating what a non-hierarchical freedomspace that shares instead of hoards can look like. I hope others opposed to capitalism can build inviting accessible freedomspaces that priorities care for the most vulnerable first.
